Seeing how the other half lives….!!

Only the best!!!

We know that Americans are obsessed with their pets, especially their dogs. They want their dogs with them as much as possible. In fact, a recent survey stated that when dog owners travel, 56% travel with their pooches. The remaining 43% that leave their dogs home feel twinges of guilt about that decision. Life is stressful, which is why most people want “to get away from it all”. Why shouldn’t our dogs feel that way too?

For those of us who can indulge ourselves and our dogs(present company not included…lol!!), hotels are getting more outrageous with the perks offered to Fido. Consider the photo above. At the Ritz-Carlton in New York City, dogs are welcomed with wrought-iron beds, ceramic pet treats, welcome treats, specially bottled water and rain gear if the weather is not perfect!!! Now if the west coast is your destination, you and your dog buddy must check out the Peninsula Beverly Hills Hotel, where your dog will be treated to all of the amenities a guest could want. There are specially monogrammed towels, next to a Simmons Beauty Rest mattress, which is covered in 300 thread-count sheets. If that isn’t enough, the meal fed to your dog is fit for a king. How about New York Sirloin with scrambled eggs served on fine china? Yes, its true!!!

If travelling down to Florida this winter, why not stop in at the Don CeSar resort where your dog can receive a 60 minute canine massage? Remember, when your dog is relaxed, so are you. Make sure the terry cloth robe and pet treadmill are just right for your pooch. You wouldn’t want them to get stressed after you have shelled out all of your hard earned $$$$ just to make them happy!!! I wish you and your dog great travels for the holiday season and the upcoming year!!!
