Well, in the northeast we are just finishing up with a storm that has plagued much of the country with rain, snow, sleet and freezing rain. While the forecast is for a few more weeks of winter with maybe a hint of spring to come, it is still the season to sit on the couch with a bowl of popcorn and check out a good movie with the kids.
Well, shortly after the Super Bowl is just a memory, the newest Disney dog flick will be released on DVD/Blue Ray Disc. That’s right, next Tuesday, 2/3/09, will be the newest release of the “Buddies” movie from Disney. This one is called Space Buddies and looks really cute.
This film is takes those adorable talking dogs and puts them where dogs have never gone before…the moon. In this film, the Buddies (5 great looking little pups) add two new friends to their group, by the names of Spudnick and Gravity. All the dogs together take the journey of a lifetime. The dogs and their extra-terrestial dream becomes a reality in this film. It shows how the determination of a group of good friends who are loyal to each other and the task at hand can make anything happen. However, once this troupe of dogs gets to the moon, they have to be able to get back. This can prove even more challenging, but still a whole lot of fun.
Watching the trailers of this film made me smile. The dogs take on personalities all their own and I believe it will be come a Disney classic and one to be added to the other Buddy films by Disney that have done so well. So if you want to “awwww” a lot and enjoy a film you don’t have to bleep the words out for, check this one out!!! It’s available on 2/3!!!
