The saga of Trouble continues!!!

Everyone remembers Trouble, the Maltese owned by Leona Helmsley, who inherited $12,000,000 from Ms. Helmsley upon her death. Well, life for Trouble has been anything but dull. It appears that trouble has received both kidnapping and death threats. John Codey, an old friend of Mrs. Helmsely’s, who cares for Trouble says that the threats are very bizarre and to date they have received 20 to 30 of the threats.
According to Codey, they have had to move Trouble several times and even disguise his identity. All Codey will say now is that Trouble is in this country and in a warm place for the winter. While $12,000,000 is a lot of money, it is minor compared to the generosity that the Helmsleys have bestowed amongst many organizations including Greenwich and New York Presbyterian hospitals which totalled over $25,000,000. If Trouble passes away prior to using the total $12,000,000 he was bequeathed, the money will revert back to the charitable trust that was part of Ms. Helmsley’s will.
Well, Trouble isn’t the only dog that was left wealthy as a result of their owner’s death. Three dogs from Maryland, named Buckshot, Katie and Obu-jet have inherited $400,000 and a house totalling about $800,000 in Hagerstown. Their owner, Ken Kemper passed away last year and his last will and testament provided for the strays that he adopted from his overseas trips. Kemper was employed by the federally funded Voice of America. The dogs who are cared for by Roy Grady, are very loving according to Grady. While they are not aware of their wealth, Grady treats them to spaghetti and meatballs one night a week, which they all seem to enjoy. If the dogs pass away before their fortune is used up, the remaining part of the fortune will be given to a charitable organization that promotes and cares for animals. According to Karin Anderson, executor of Kemper’s will, this is what Kemper would have wanted as he was a true animal lover!!!
